Say: I am only a warner, and there is no god but Allah, the One, the Subduer (of all): 65 “Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them – the Almighty, the Oft Forgiving.” 66 Say, "It is great news 67 yet you ignore it. 68 [Say, O Muhammad:] "No knowledge would I have had of [what passed among] the host on high when they argued [against the creation of man,] 69 Naught is revealed to me save that I am a plain warner. 70 Behold, thy Lord said to the angels: "I am about to create man from clay: 71 and when I give it proper shape and blow My spirit into it, bow down in prostration to him," 72 Then the angels bowed before him in a body, 73 except iblis (satan, the father of the jinn), he became too proud, for he was one of the unbelievers. 74 (Allah) said: "O Iblis! What prevents thee from prostrating thyself to one whom I have created with my hands? Art thou haughty? Or art thou one of the high (and mighty) ones?" 75 He said: "I am better than he. You created me from fire, and him from clay." 76 "Begone! You are accursed: 77 'My curse shall rest on you until the Day of Recompense' 78 He said, "My Lord, then reprieve me until the Day they are resurrected." 79 He said: “You are of those who have been granted respite 80 Until the Day of the time well-known." 81 [Iblees] said, "By your might, I will surely mislead them all 82 [all] save such of them as are truly Thy servants!" 83 (God) said: "This is right by Me, and what I say is right. 84 That I will fill Hell with you [Iblis (Satan)] and those of them (mankind) that follow you, together." 85 Say thou: I ask of you for it no hire, nor am I of the affecters. 86 “It is not but an advice for the entire world.” 87 And ye shall surely come to know the truth thereof after a season. 88
