Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By those [winds] scattering [dust] dispersing 1 then the bearers of weight (the clouds), 2 and the smooth runners 3 And those who distribute (blessings) by command, 4 Indeed, what you are promised is true. 5 And lo! the judgment will indeed befall. 6 I swear by the heaven full of ways. 7 Most surely you are at variance with each other in what you say, 8 He is turned away from it who would be turned away. 9 Perish the conjecturers 10 Those who are in heedlessness neglectful. 11 asking, 'When shall be the Day of Doom?' 12 (It is) the day on which they shall be tried at the fire. 13 [and will be told:] "Taste this your trial! It is this that you were so hastily asking for!" 14 The righteous shall live among gardens and fountains, 15 joyously receiving what their Lord will have granted them. Verily they did good works before (the coming of this Day): 16 They used to sleep but little of the night, 17 praying at dawn for God's pardon, 18 And from their properties was [given] the right of the [needy] petitioner and the deprived. 19 In the earth are signs for those having sure faith; 20 And within yourselves. Can you not perceive? 21 And in the heaven is your sustenance and what you are threatened with. 22 By the Lord of the heaven and the earth, it is certainly the truth. It is as true as your ability to speak. 23
