And truly, this (the Quran) is a revelation from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists), 192 With it came down the spirit of Faith and Truth- 193 Upon thy heart, that thou mayest be of the warners, 194 In eloquent Arabic. 195 And lo! it is in the Scriptures of the men of old. 196 Is not the fact (that the Israelite scholars already knew about the Quran through their Book) sufficient evidence for the pagans of the truthfulness (of the Quran)? 197 If We had revealed it to a nonArab, 198 So that he should have recited it to them, they would not have believed therein. 199 Thus have We caused this (Admonition) to penetrate the hearts of the culprits (like a hot rod). 200 They will not believe in it until they see the painful punishment. 201 The torment will strike them suddenly without their knowledge. 202 and then they will say: 'Shall we be respited' 203 Seek haste then they with our torment? 204 Therefore observe, that if We give them some comforts for some years, – 205 And then the promise that is given to them, does come upon them- 206 What shall that which they enjoyed avail them? 207 And never did We destroy a township, but it had its warners 208 To remind, and We are never unjust. 209 No evil ones have brought down this (Revelation): 210 nor does it behove them, nor does it lie in their power. 211 Indeed they have been removed far from even (a chance of) hearing it. 212 So do not invoke with Allah another deity and [thus] be among the punished. 213 Warn your tribe and your near kinsmen. 214 And lower thou thy wing unto those who follow thee as believers. 215 If they disobey you, say, "I bear no responsibility for what you do." 216 and place thy trust in the Almighty, the Dispenser of Grace, 217 who can see whether you stand up 218 and [sees] thy behaviour among those who prostrate themselves [before Him]: 219 Verily He! He is the Hearer, the Knower. 220 Should I tell you on whom the devils descend? 221 They descend on every sinful, false one. 222 (Into whose ears) they pour hearsay vanities, and most of them are liars. 223 And the poets -- the perverse follow them; 224 Do you not see how they wander aimlessly in every valley, 225 and they say what they do not do? 226 Save those who believe and do good works, and remember Allah much, and vindicate themselves after they have been wronged. Those who do wrong will come to know by what a (great) reverse they will be overturned! 227
