No, by the moon! 32 And by oath of the night when it turns back. 33 and by the day when it dawns (with its radiance), 34 Surely, it is one of the gravest things, 35 a warning to mortal man 36 To whoever wills among you to proceed or stay behind. 37 Every soul will be (held) in pledge for its deeds. 38 except the Companions of the Right. 39 In Gardens; they shall be asking, 40 about the sinners. 41 "What was it that brought you to Hell?" 42 They said, “We never used to offer the prayer.” 43 nor did we feed the destitute. 44 we indulged in vain arguments along with those who indulged in them; 45 And rejected the Day of Judgement as a lie 46 “Till death overcame us.” 47 So, the intercession of intercessors will not avail them. 48 Then what is wrong with them (i.e. the disbelievers) that they turn away from (receiving) admonition? 49 As if they were affrighted asses, 50 Fleeing away from a lion. 51 Aye! every one of them desireth that: he should be vouchsafed scrolls expanded. 52 This will certainly never be the case! In fact, they are not afraid of the Day of Judgment. 53 No! Indeed, the Qur'an is a reminder 54 so whoever wills shall remember it. 55 And they will not receive admonition unless Allah wills; He (Allah) is the One, deserving that mankind should be afraid of, and should be dutiful to Him, and should not take any Ilah (God) along with Him, and He is the One Who forgives (sins). 56
