The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Woe to every fault-finding backbiter; 1 who amasses wealth, counting it over, 2 thinking that his wealth will make him live forever. 3 Nay, but verily he will be flung to the Consuming One. 4 Would that you knew what hutamah is! 5 The Fire of God kindled 6 Which penetrates the hearts 7 Indeed, Hellfire will be closed down upon them 8 In extended columns. 9
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
