The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the bright forenoon, 1 And the night when dark and still, 2 Thy Lord hath not forsaken thee, nor is He displeased. 3 Indeed what is to come will be better for you than what has gone by. 4 And indeed, in time will thy Sustainer grant thee [what thy heart desires,] and thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give you shelter? 6 Did He not find you wandering about and give you guidance? 7 Did He not find you poor and enrich you? 8 Therefore, be not harsh with the orphan; 9 And as for him who asks, do not chide (him), 10 But tell of the favors of your Lord! 11
