Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those [winds] sent forth in gusts 1 And those raging swiftly; 2 Then by oath of those that lift and carry. 3 then winnow them thoroughly, 4 and those hurling a reminder 5 To end all argument or to warn. 6 Surely that which ye are promised will befall. 7 So when the stars are put out, 8 And when the sky is riven asunder, 9 And when the mountains are carried away as dust, 10 And when the Messengers are gathered to their time appointed; 11 to what day shall they be deferred? 12 one will be told, "To the Day of Distinction". 13 And what will convey unto thee what the Day of Decision is! - 14 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients? 16 So shall We make later (generations) follow them. 17 As such shall We deal with the sinners. 18 On that day, woe upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 19 Did We not create you from a worthless water (semen, etc.)? 20 And We placed it in a firm lodging 21 till a known term decreed? 22 Thus did We Plan and how excellent is Our planning! 23 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 24 Have We not made the earth a housing 25 For the living and the dead among you? 26 Set We not therein soaring mountains? Sated you with sweetest water? 27 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 28 "Go to what you used to deny; 29 "Depart you to a shadow (of Hell-fire smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 Neither shading nor availing against the flame. 31 Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles, 32 As if they were tawny camels. 33 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 34 This is a Day whereon they shall not be able to speak. 35 Nor will they be given permission to present excuses. 36 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 37 That will be a Day of Sorting out! We shall gather you together and those before (you)! 38 So if you have any plot to devise against Me, then devise it. 39 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 40
