Tell them, (O Prophet): “I am nothing but a warner. There is no deity but Allah, the One, the Supreme, 65 The Lord of the heavens and the earth and what is between them, the Mighty, the most Forgiving. 66 Say: "This is a momentous message, 67 Whence ye turn away! 68 "No knowledge have I of the Chiefs on high, when they discuss (matters) among themselves. 69 It is revealed unto me only that I may be a plain warner. 70 [For,] lo, thy Sustainer said unto the angels: "Behold, I am about to create a human being out of clay; 71 and when I have formed him fully and breathed into him of My spirit, fall you down before him in prostration!" 72 Then the angels, all of them, prostrated themselves before Adam 73 Except Iblis (Satan) he was proud and was one of the disbelievers. 74 The Lord said, "Iblis, what prevented you from prostrating before what I have created with My own hands? Was it because of your pride or are you truly exalted?" 75 He (satan) replied: 'I am better than he. You created me from fire, and You created him from clay' 76 "Begone! You are accursed: 77 “And indeed My curse is upon you till the Day of Judgement.” 78 He said, "My Lord, then reprieve me until the Day they are resurrected." 79 so He said, "You are granted respite 80 “Until the time of the known day.” 81 He (satan) said: 'I swear by Your Might, that I will seduce all of them 82 “Except Your chosen bondmen among them.” 83 Allah said: the truth is, and it is the truth that I speak 84 Most certainly will I fill hell with thee and such of them as shall follow thee, all together!" 85 Say, "I do not ask you for any recompense for this, nor am I a man of false pretentions: 86 It is nothing but a reminder to the nations; 87 You will know the truth of the matter after a while.” 88
