Al-Saaffaat 4 of 5
We were indeed gracious to Moses and Aaron, 114 and We delivered both of them and their people from the great calamity. 115 We helped them and they were victorious. 116 and We gave them the Manifesting Book, 117 And showed them the right path. 118 And We left (this blessing) for them among generations (to come) in later times: 119 Peace be on Moses and Aaron. 120 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 121 Indeed, they were of Our believing servants. 122 And verily, llyas was one of the sent ones. 123 Behold, he said to his people, "Will ye not fear (Allah)? 124 Do you call on Baal and abandon the Best of Creators, 125 Allah, your Lord and Lord of your forefathers? 126 But they cried him lies; so they will be among the arraigned, 127 But not the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 128 And We let it (the beautiful praise) remain upon him in the latter (generations), 129 Salamun (peace) be upon Ilyasin (Elias)!" 130 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 131 for he was truly one of Our believing servants! 132 And lo! Lot verily was of those sent (to warn). 133 We saved him and all his people, 134 save an old woman among those that tarried; 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 and, verily, [to this day] you pass by the remnants of their dwellings at morning-time 137 And at night. Will ye not therefore reflect? 138

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
