Moses said: "O my Lord, enlarge my breast, 25 and ease my task for me, 26 And loose a knot from my tongue. 27 "So they may understand what I say: 28 And give me as assistant from my family 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 Strengthen my back by him, 31 And associate him in my affair. 32 so that we may glorify You much 33 "And remember Thee without stint: 34 Indeed, You are of us ever Seeing." 35 God said, "You have been granted your request, Moses." 36 Already another time We favoured thee, 37 when We revealed what was revealed unto thy mother: 38 “That, ‘Put him into a chest and cast it into the river, so the river shall deposit it on to a shore – therefore one who is an enemy to Me and you, shall pick him up’; and I bestowed upon you love from Myself; and for you to be brought up in My sight.” 39 [And We favored you] when your sister went and said, 'Shall I direct you to someone who will be responsible for him?' So We restored you to your mother that she might be content and not grieve. And you killed someone, but We saved you from retaliation and tried you with a [severe] trial. And you remained [some] years among the people of Madyan. Then you came [here] at the decreed time, O Moses. 40 I have chosen thee for My service; 41 "Go with your brother. Take My miracles and do not be reluctant in preaching My message. 42 Go both to Firon, surely he has become inordinate; 43 But speak unto him in a mild manner, so that he might bethink himself or [at least] be filled with apprehension. 44 They said, "Our Lord, indeed we are afraid that he will hasten [punishment] against us or that he will transgress." 45 (The Lord) said: "Be not afraid. I am verily with you, and I hear and see. 46 Both of you go to him (Pharaoh) and say: "We are the Messengers of your Lord. Let the Children of Israel depart with us, and do not punish them. We have come to you with a sign from your Lord; peace be on him who follows guidance! 47 It has been revealed to us that punishment will befall him who denies and turns away. 48 [Pharaoh] said, "So who is the Lord of you two, O Moses?" 49 They replied, "Our Lord is the One Who has created all things and has given guidance". 50 Said [Pharaoh]: "And what of all the past generations?" 51 He (Moses) answered: 'The knowledge of them is in a Book with My Lord. My Lord neither goes astray, nor forgets. 52 Who hath appointed the earth as a bed and hath threaded roads for you therein and hath sent down water from the sky and thereby We have brought forth divers kinds of vegetation, 53 So eat yourself and pasture your cattle. Surely there are many Signs in this for people of understanding. 54
