Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

By the glorious morning light; 1 And by oath of the night when it covers, 2 Your Lord has not forsaken you nor does He dislike you! 3 for, indeed, the life to come will be better for thee than this earlier part [of thy life]! 4 And verily thy Lord will give unto thee so that thou wilt be content. 5 Did He not find you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) an orphan and gave you a refuge? 6 Did He not find thee wandering and direct (thee)? 7 And did He not find you in need and make you rich? 8 Therefore, treat not the orphan with harshness, 9 And do not rebuke the beggar. 10 And as for the favor of your Lord, do announce (it). 11

God the Almighty always says the truth.
