Kingship (Al-Mulk)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ Blessed is He in whose hand is dominion, and He is over all things competent - 1 The One Who created death and life to test you – who among you has the better deeds; and He only is the Most Honourable, the Oft Forgiving. 2 The One Who created the seven heavens atop each other; do you see any discrepancy in the creation of the Most Gracious? Therefore lift your gaze – do you see any cracks? 3 Then return your gaze once more and yet again, your gaze comes back to you dazzled, and tired. 4 We have adorned the lowest sky with lamps, and made them missiles against the devils, for whom We have prepared a torment of most intense fire. 5 For those who have disbelieved in their Lord, We have prepared the torment of hell, the most terrible place to return. 6 They will hear it hissing when they will be thrown into it, and it is boiling. 7 as though bursting with rage. Each time a group is cast into it, its keepers will ask them, "Did no warner come to you?" 8 They say, 'Yes indeed, a warner came to us; but we cried lies, saying, "God has not sent down anything; you are only in great error. 9 They will say: "If we had listened and been wise, we would not have been among the inmates of Hell." 10 And they will admit their sin, so [it is] alienation for the companions of the Blaze. 11 Surely forgiveness and a mighty reward await those who fear Allah without seeing Him. 12 And whether you keep your talk secret or disclose it, verily, He is the All-Knower of what is in the breasts (of men). 13 Shall He who has created (all things) not know? He is the Subtle, the Aware. 14
