In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
Read (Prophet Muhammad) in the Name of your Lord who created, 1 Created man from a clot. 2 Recite: and your Lord is Most Generous, 3 Who taught (to write) with the pen 4 Taught man what he did not know. 5 Nay! Verily, man does transgress all bounds (in disbelief and evil deed, etc.). 6 That he thinketh himself independent! 7 Verily unto thy Lord is the return. 8 Have you seen him who restrains 9 a worshiper when he prays. 10 Bethinkest thou, if he is himself guided, 11 Or enjoineth piety? 12 Hast thou considered whether he may [not] be giving the lie to the truth and turning his back [upon it]? 13 Does he not know that Allah sees everything? 14 Let him beware! If he does not desist, We will drag him by the forelock -- 15 A lying, sinful forelock! 16 So let him call on his concourse! 17 We shall call the guards of Hell. 18 No, indeed; do not obey him! Prostrate and come nearer (to Allah). ۩ 19
