The people of Noah also rejected the messengers. 105 When their brother Noah said unto them: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 106 I am a trustworthy Messenger to you; 107 So keep your duty to Allah, and obey me. 108 I ask no recompense of you for it. My reward is due from none but the Lord of all the worlds. 109 “Therefore fear Allah, and obey me.” 110 ۞ They said: "Shall we believe in thee when it is the meanest that follow thee?" 111 He said: And what knowledge have I of what they may have been doing (in the past)? 112 It is for my Lord to bring them to book, if you can understand. 113 And I am not (here) to repulse believers. 114 “I am not but clearly a Herald of Warning.” 115 They said: "If you cease not, O Nuh (Noah)! You will surely be among those stoned (to death)." 116 He said: "O my Lord! truly my people have rejected me. 117 So pass a clear judgement between me and them and rescue me and the believers with me." 118 So We saved him and those with him in a laden ship. 119 Then We drowned thereafter the remaining ones. 120 Lo! herein is indeed a portent, yet most of them are not believers. 121 And lo, thy Lord, He is indeed the Mighty, the Merciful. 122
