Proof (Al-Bayyinah)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
The disbelieving People of the Book(s) and the polytheists would not have left their religion until the clear proof came to them. 1 A Messenger from Allah, reciting purified scriptures 2 Wherein are all the right ordinances. 3 The people of the Book were not divided among themselves till after the clear proof had come to them. 4 Yet they were ordered to worship Allah alone, making the Religion His sincerely, upright, and to establish their prayers and to pay the obligatory charity. That is indeed the Religion of Straightness. 5 Those who reject (Truth), among the People of the Book and among the Polytheists, will be in Hell-Fire, to dwell therein (for aye). They are the worst of creatures. 6 Those who have faith and do righteous deeds,- they are the best of creatures. 7 Their reward [awaits them] with God: gardens of perpetual bliss, through which running waters flow, therein to abide beyond the count of time; well-pleased is God with them, and well-pleased are they with Him: all this awaits him who of his Sustainer stands in awe!. 8
