Observedest thou him who turned away? 33 Gives a little, then hardens (his heart)? 34 Does he [claim to] have knowledge of something that is beyond the reach of human perception, so that he can see [it clearly]? 35 Has not he been informed of the contents of the Book of Moses 36 and about Abraham who fulfilled his duty (to God)? 37 that no soul shall bear the burden of another; 38 And that man hath only that for which he maketh effort, 39 And that his effort is going to be seen - 40 And only then will he receive his recompense in full; 41 and that the final end is unto thy Lord, 42 It is He who causes laughter and weeping. 43 And that it is He (Allah) Who causes death and gives life; 44 That He did create in pairs,- male and female, 45 From a drop of semen when emitted; 46 and on Him depends the life hereafter. 47 And that it is He Who enricheth and preserveth property. 48 And that He it is Who is the Lord of Sirius; 49 And that it is He Who earlier destroyed the tribe of Aad? 50 and Thamud, leaving no trace of them, 51 and the people of Noah before -- certainly they did exceeding evil, and were insolent 52 And He destroyed the overthrown cities [of Sodom to which Prophet Lout (Lot) was sent]. 53 so that there came upon them that which came. 54 So, which of your Lord's bounties will you doubt?” 55 This is a warner, of the warners of old. 56 What is to come is imminent. 57 apart from God none can disclose it. 58 Do you, perchance, find this tiding strange? 59 And laugh and not weep, 60 while you are thoughtless? 61 Prostrate yourselves before Allah, and serve Him. ۩ 62
