See you not those who dispute about the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of Allah? How are they turning away (from the truth, i.e. Islamic Monotheism to the falsehood of polytheism)? 69 Those who cry lies to the Book and that wherewith We sent Our Messengers -- soon they will know! 70 When iron collars will be rounded over their necks, and the chains, they shall be dragged along. 71 into the boiling water and then are thrown into the Fire, 72 Then shall it be said to them: "Where are the (deities) to which ye gave part-worship- 73 Beside Allah? They say: They have failed us; but we used not to pray to anything before. Thus doth Allah send astray the disbelievers (in His guidance). 74 'That is because you rejoiced in the earth without right, and were exultant. 75 Enter Hell now to abide in it. How woeful is the abode of those who wax proud! 76 So be patient, (O Prophet). Surely Allah's promise is true. Whether We show them a part of the woeful consequences against which We warn them (while you are still in their midst) or We recall you (from this world) before that, eventually it is to Us that they shall be brought back. 77 And indeed, [O Muhammad,] We sent forth apostles before thy time; some of them We have mentioned to thee, and some of them We have not mentioned to thee. And it was not given to any apostle to bring forth a miracle other than by God's leave. Yet when God's will becomes manifest, judgment will [already] have been passed in all justice, and lost will be, then and there, all who tried to reduce to nothing [whatever they could not understand]. 78
