And whatever strikes you of disaster - it is for what your hands have earned; but He pardons much. 30 And you cannot escape from Allah (i.e. His Punishment) in the earth, and besides Allah you have neither any Wali (guardian or a protector) nor any helper. 31 And among His Signs are the ships, smooth-running through the ocean, (tall) as mountains. 32 if He will, He calms the wind so that they remain motionless upon its back, surely, there are signs in this for every thankful, patient (person). 33 or He may cause them to founder because of people's misdeeds, He pardons many of them, 34 He knows all those who dispute His revelations. They will find no way to escape from (His torment). 35 So whatever thing you have been given - it is but [for] enjoyment of the worldly life. But what is with Allah is better and more lasting for those who have believed and upon their Lord rely 36 And those who avoid the greater sins, and Al-Fawahish (illegal sexual intercourse, etc.), and when they are angry, they forgive 37 Those who hearken to their Lord, and establish regular Prayer; who (conduct) their affairs by mutual Consultation; who spend out of what We bestow on them for Sustenance; 38 and those who, when suffering a great injustice, seek to defend themselves. 39 Let harm be requited by an equal harm. But whoever pardons and amends will find his reward with God. He does not love the wrongdoers. 40 And whoever avenges himself after having been wronged - those have not upon them any cause [for blame]. 41 blame falls only on those who wrong men and transgress on this earth without justification, such will have a painful punishment, 42 And verily, whosoever shows patience and forgives that would truly be from the things recommended by Allah. 43
