T H (Taa Haa)
135 verses, revealed in Mecca after Mary (Maryam) before The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Ta-Ha. 1 We have not sent the Quran down to you to distress you, 2 But as admonition for him who fears -- 3 it is a revelation from Him who has created the earth and the high heavens, 4 The Most Beneficent (Allah) Istawa (rose over) the (Mighty) Throne (in a manner that suits His Majesty). 5 His is what is in the heavens and what is in the earth and what is between them two and what is beneath the ground. 6 And if you speak aloud - then indeed, He knows the secret and what is [even] more hidden. 7 Allah! There is no Allah save Him. His are the most beautiful names. 8 Has the story of Moses reached you? 9 When he saw a fire and said unto his folk: Lo! Wait! I see a fire afar off. Peradventure I may bring you a brand therefrom or may find guidance at the fire. 10 When he came close to it, a voice called out, "Moses, 11 Verily I am your Lord! Take off your shoes. You are in the sacred valley, Tuwa! 12 I have chosen you, so listen to what is revealed to you. 13 “Indeed it is Me, Allah there is no God except I therefore worship Me and keep the prayer established for My remembrance.” 14 "Behold, [although] I have willed to keep it hidden, the Last Hour is bound to come, so that every human being may be recompensed in accordance with what he strove for [in life]. 15 Therefor, let not him turn thee aside from (the thought of) it who believeth not therein but followeth his own desire, lest thou perish. 16 And what is that in thy right hand, O Musa! 17 'Why, it is my staff,' said Moses. 'I lean upon it, and with it I beat down leaves to feed my sheep; other uses also I find in it. 18 He said, “Put it down, O Moosa! 19 Moses threw it on the ground and suddenly he saw that it was a moving serpent. 20 The Lord said, "Hold the serpent and do not be afraid; We will bring it back to its original form." 21 And thrust thy hand within thine armpit, it will come forth white without hurt. (That will be) another token. 22 for We shall show you some of Our greatest Signs. 23 Go thou unto Fir'awn; verily he hath waxen exorbitant. 24
