A 'araaf (Al-A 'araaf)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

۞ Alif-Lam-Mim-Sad. 1 This is a Book revealed to you. Let there be no impediment in your heart about it. (It has been revealed to you) that you may thereby warn [the unbelievers], that it may be a reminder to the believers. 2 Follow what has been revealed to you from your Lord and do not follow guardians besides Him, how little do you mind. 3 How many a township We have destroyed! Our scourge fell upon them at night, or when they were taking midday rest. 4 and they but cried, when Our might came upon there, 'We were evildoers.'; 5 So undoubtedly We shall question those to whom Our Noble Messengers went, and indeed We shall question the Noble Messengers. 6 and We shall relate to them with knowledge; assuredly We were not absent. 7 The weighing on that Day will be the true weighing: those whose scales are heavy will prosper. 8 And whosesoever balances will be light - those are they who have lost themselves in respect of Our signs. 9 We assuredly established you in the earth and arranged for your livelihood in it. Little do you give thanks. 10
