Do the disbelievers reckon that they can choose My bondmen as protecting friends beside Me? Lo! We have prepared hell as a welcome for the disbelievers. 102 (Muhammad), tell them, "Should I tell you who will face the greatest loss as a result of their deeds? 103 Those whose effort goeth astray in the life of the world, and yet they reckon that they do good work. 104 "They are those who deny the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of their Lord and the Meeting with Him (in the Hereafter). So their works are in vain, and on the Day of Resurrection, We shall not give them any weight. 105 That is their recompense - Hell - for what they denied and [because] they took My signs and My messengers in ridicule. 106 But surely those who believe and do the right will have gardens of Paradise as gift, 107 Abiding therein; they shall not desire removal from them. 108 Tell them, "If the ocean became ink for writing the words of my Lord, surely the ocean would be exhausted before the words of my Lord came to an end -- even if We were to add another ocean to it." 109 Say [O Prophet]: "I am but a mortal man like all of you. It has been revealed unto me that your God is the One and Only God. Hence, whoever looks forward [with hope and awe] to meeting his Sustainer [on Judgment Day,] let him do righteous deeds, and let him not ascribe unto anyone or anything a share in the worship due to his Sustainer!" 110
