Al-Mu' minoon 3 of 6
And [every time] the great ones among his people, who refused to acknowledge the truth and gave the lie to the announcement of a life to come - [simply] because We had granted them ease and plenty in [their] worldly life, and they had become corrupted by it [every time] they would say: "This [man] is nothing hut a mortal like yourselves, eating of what you eat, and drinking of what you drink: 33 So if you follow a man like yourself you will certainly be doomed. 34 What, does he promise you that when you are dead, and become dust and bones, you shall be brought forth? 35 ۞ “How remote, (really) how remote is the promise you are given!” 36 There is only the life of this world: We die and we live: there is no rising from the dead for us. 37 He is only a man who has invented a lie about God, and we are not going to believe him!" 38 He said: My Lord! Help me because they deny me. 39 God said, "Before long they will be filled with regret." 40 And the Cry seized them justly, and We made them as scum; so away with the people of the evildoers! 41 Then after them We raised other generations. 42 No nation can outstrip its term, nor yet postpone it. 43 Then We sent Our Messengers in succession. Yet whenever its Messenger came to a nation they belied him, so We made them follow others, and We made them but as tales, so begone the nation who did not believe! 44 Thereafter We sent Musa and his brother Harun with Our signs and an authority manifest. 45 Towards Firaun and his court members – in response they were haughty, and they were in dominance. 46 They said: "Shall we believe in two men like ourselves? And their people are subject to us!" 47 Then they accused them of lies, and joined the company of those who were destroyed. 48 And indeed We gave Moosa the Book, that they may attain guidance. 49 We made the son of Mary and his mother a miracle and settled them on a high land, quite secure and watered by a spring. 50

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
