By no means! By the moon, 32 And the night when it departs, 33 And by the dawn when it brightens, 34 Surely it (hell) is one of the gravest (misfortunes), 35 A warning unto humankind 36 Unto him of you who will advance or hang back. 37 Each soul is held in pledge for what it earns, 38 Except the people of the right hand, 39 who shall be in the Gardens, and shall ask 40 about the sinners. 41 What led you into the Scorching Fire? 42 They will say: "We were not of those who prayed; 43 Nor did we feed the wretched. 44 We indulged and persisted in useless disputes, 45 and belied the Day of Recompense 46 until there came to us the certainty. 47 The intercession of the intercessors shall then be of no avail to them. 48 Then what is wrong with them (i.e. the disbelievers) that they turn away from (receiving) admonition? 49 As if they were affrighted asses, 50 Fleeing from a hunter, or a lion, or a beast of prey. 51 Indeed, everyone of them desires to have sheets of revelations unfolded before them -- 52 Nay! But they fear not the Hereafter (from Allah's punishment). 53 Nay, verily, this (Quran) is an admonition, 54 So whosoever will (let him read it), and receive admonition (from it)! 55 they will only take heed if God so wills: He is the Lord who is worthy to be feared: the Lord of forgiveness. 56
