The people of Noah denied the messengers 105 When their brother Noah said unto them: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 106 Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger. 107 fear God, and obey me. 108 And I do not ask you any reward for it; my reward is only with the Lord of the worlds: 109 so fear God and obey me." 110 ۞ They said: "Should we place our trust in you when only the condemned follow you?" 111 (Noah) said, "I have no knowledge of their deeds. 112 It is only for my Lord to take account of them. Would that you made use of your understanding! 113 I do not drive away the believers. 114 I am only a plain warner." 115 Said they: "Indeed, if thou desist not, O Noah, thou wilt surely be stoned to death!" 116 Then Noah said, "Lord, my people have rejected me. 117 “Therefore make a decisive judgement between me and them, and rescue me and the believers along with me.” 118 And so We saved him and those [who were] with him in the fully-laden ark, 119 And drowned the rest of them. 120 Surely, in that there is a sign; yet most of them do not believe. 121 But, verily, thy Sustainer - He alone - is almighty, a dispenser of grace 122
