The Ant (Al-Naml)

۞ Ta. Sin. These are revelations of the Qur'an and a Scripture that maketh plain; 1 A guidance and good news for the believers, 2 Who establish the prayer and give the poor-rate, and of the Hereafter they are convinced. 3 As for those who do not believe in the Hereafter, We have made their deeds seem attractive to them so they stumble around in perplexity. 4 Those are they for whom shall be an evil torment. And in the Hereafter they shall be the greatest losers. 5 You have received the Koran from the Wise, the Knower. 6 [Mention] when Moses said to his family, "Indeed, I have perceived a fire. I will bring you from there information or will bring you a burning torch that you may warm yourselves." 7 But when he came close to it, a call was sounded: "Blessed are all who are within [reach of] this fire, and all who are near it! And limitless in His glory is God, the Sustainer of all the worlds!" 8 O Moses! Lo! it is I, Allah, the Mighty, the Wise. 9 And cast down your staff. So when he saw it in motion as if it were a serpent, he turned back retreating and did not return: O Musa! fear not; surely the apostles shall not fear in My presence; 10 Except those who do some wrong but afterwards do good to make up for the wrong. And I am forgiving and merciful. 11 And put your hand into the opening of your garment [at the breast]; it will come out white without disease. [These are] among the nine signs [you will take] to Pharaoh and his people. Indeed, they have been a people defiantly disobedient." 12 But when Our signs came to them in all their clarity they said, "This is clearly sorcery!" 13 And they denied them – whereas in their hearts they were certain of them – due to injustice and pride; therefore see what sort of fate befell the mischievous! 14
