The believing man said, "My people, follow me and I shall show you the right guidance. 38 "O my people! This worldly life is but a brief enjoyment, whereas, behold, the life to come is the home abiding. 39 Whoever does an evil deed will not be recompensed except by the like thereof; but whoever does righteousness, whether male or female, while he is a believer - those will enter Paradise, being given provision therein without account. 40 ۞ My people, how is it that I call you to salvation while you call me to the Fire; 41 Ye call me for this, that I should blaspheme against God and associate with Him that whereof I have no knowledge, and I call you onto the Mighty, the Forgiver. 42 “So it is self evident that what you call me towards has no benefit being prayed to, either in this world or in the Hereafter, and that our return is towards Allah, and that the transgressors only are the people of the fire.” 43 You will soon recall what I have told you. I entrust God with my affairs. God is Well Aware of His servants." 44 Thus, God delivered him from the evils which they plotted, and the companions of Pharaoh themselves were encompassed by a dreadful scourge; 45 The fire – upon which they are presented morning and evening; and when the Last Day is established – “Put the people of Firaun into the most severe punishment.” (Punishment in the grave is proven by this verse.) 46 And consider what time they will wrangle together in the Fire, and the oppressed will say unto those who were stiff-necked: verily we have been unto you a following, are ye going to avail us against a portion of the Fire? 47 Those who had been arrogant will say: "We are all in this (Fire)! Truly, Allah has judged between (his) Servants!" 48 Those in the Fire will say to the Keepers of Hell: "Pray to your Lord to lighten us the Penalty for a day (at least)!" 49 They shall say: Did not your apostles come to you with clear arguments? They shall say: Yea. They shall say: Then call. And the call of the unbelievers is only in error. 50
