Have you then seen him who turns his back? 33 who at first gave a little, then later held back? 34 Has he knowledge of the Unknown that he perceives everything? 35 Nay, is he not acquainted with what is in the Books of Moses- 36 and Abraham, he who paid his debt in full? 37 That no bearer of burden shall bear the burden of another- 38 And that man hath only that for which he maketh effort, 39 That his endeavours will be judged, 40 then, he shall be recompensed for it in full repayment 41 and that the final return is to your Lord, 42 and that it is He who makes to laugh, and that makes to weep, 43 And that it is He who causes death and gives life 44 And that He createth the two spouses, the male and the female, 45 out of a [mere] drop of sperm as it is poured forth, 46 and that He will bring about the Second Creation; 47 That it is He who makes you rich and contented; 48 And that it is He Who is the Lord of Sirius. 49 And that He destroyed the first [people of] 'Aad 50 and Thamood, and He did not spare them, 51 and before them the nation of Noah, they exceeded in evil and were insolent. 52 And the subverted cities He overthrew. 53 And covered them by that which He covered. 54 Concerning which then, of the bounties of thy Lord, canst thou dispute? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The (Judgment) ever approaching draws nigh: 57 No one besides God can rescue a soul from hardship. 58 Do you, perchance, find this tiding strange? 59 And will ye laugh and not weep,- 60 Will you remain proudly heedless? 61 So prostrate yourselves before Allah and worship. ۩ 62
