Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those [winds] sent forth in gusts 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 Then by oath of those that lift and carry. 3 then the criterion (the verses of Koran), separating 4 And those that bring down the Reminder 5 excusing or warning, 6 Assuredly, what ye are promised must come to pass. 7 So when stars are effaced. 8 and the sky is rent asunder, 9 and when the mountains are scattered like dust, 10 And when the messengers' time has come... 11 For which day were they appointed? 12 For the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false]! 13 What do you know what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that day unto the beliers 15 Did We not destroy many a nation of the earlier times? 16 and then follow them with the later folk? 17 That is what We shall do to those who are guilty of crime. 18 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 19 Did We not create you from a humble fluid, 20 which We placed within a sure lodging 21 For a known calculated term. 22 Thus We arranged. How excellent is Our arranging! 23 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle? 25 for the living and the dead, 26 And We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water. 27 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 28 [They will be told], "Proceed to that which you used to deny. 29 Depart into the shadow of three masses, 30 (Which yet is) no relief nor shelter from the flame. 31 that shoots sparks like dry faggots, 32 which seem as though they are yellow-coloured camels. 33 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 34 This is the day they shall not speak 35 Nor will it be open to them to put forth pleas. 36 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 37 This is the day of decision: We have gathered you and those of yore. 38 So if you have a plan, then plan against Me. 39 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 40
