The Pharaoh and his people had also received Our warning, 41 They denied Our signs, all of them, so We seized them with a seizure of one Exalted in Might and Perfect in Ability. 42 Are your Unbelievers, (O Quraish), better than they? Or have ye an immunity in the Sacred Books? 43 Or do they say: 'We are a gathering that will be victorious' 44 The hosts will all be routed and will turn and flee. 45 Nay, but the Hour is their appointed time (for their full recompense), and the Hour will be more grievous and more bitter. 46 Verily the culprits shall be in great error and madness. 47 On the day when they shall be dragged upon their faces into the fire; taste the touch of hell. 48 Surely We have created everything according to a measure. 49 And Our commandment is but one (commandment), as the twinkling of an eye. 50 We have destroyed the likes of you in the past: So is there any one who will be warned? 51 And each and everything they have done is noted in (their) Records (of deeds). 52 every action, small or great, is noted down. 53 [Hence, too,] behold, the God-conscious will find themselves in [a paradise of] gardens and running waters, 54 In a seat of honor near a Sovereign, Perfect in Ability. 55
