And assuredly unto the household of Fir'awn came the warning. 41 They rejected all Our communications, so We overtook them after the manner of a Mighty, Powerful One. 42 Are your unbelievers (of Makkah) any better than they? Or have you been granted any immunity in the Scriptures? 43 Or do they say: “We are a strong legion, strong enough for victory?” 44 (Let them know that) this united group will soon run away in defeat. 45 Surely the Hour will be the moment of their promise, and that moment will be calamitous and distressing. 46 The evil-doers are indeed sunk in error and folly -- 47 On that Day they will be dragged into the fire faces foremost, (and told:) "Taste the feel of Hell." 48 We have created everything in due measure; 49 And Our command is but one (word) swift as the winking of an eye. 50 And (oft) in the past, have We destroyed gangs like unto you: then is there any that will receive admonition? 51 All their deeds are in the Scrolls, 52 All things small or great have been written down. 53 Verily the God-fearing will be in Gardens and among rivers. 54 In an Assembly of Truth, in the Presence of a Sovereign Omnipotent. 55
