The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
78 verses, revealed in Medina after Thunder (Al-Ra'ad) before The Human (Al-Insan)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ The Beneficent Allah, 1 Has taught (you mankind) the Quran (by His Mercy). 2 Has created Prophet Mohammed (peace and blessings be upon him) as the soul of mankind. 3 [And] taught him eloquence. 4 The sun and the moon move according to a fixed reckoning; 5 And the herbs and the trees do obeisance. 6 And Allah has raised the sky; and He has set the balance. 7 That ye should not trespass in respect of the balance. 8 Therefore, maintain just measure and do not transgress against the Balance. 9 And the earth He laid [out] for the creatures. 10 In which are fruits, and covered dates. 11 and a variety of corn with both husk and grain. 12 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 13 He created the human being from clay like that used for pottery 14 and He created the jinn from smokeless fire. 15 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 16 Lord of the two Easts, and Lord of the two Wests! 17 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you then deny? 18 He hath let loose the two seas. 19 but has created a barrier between them so that they will not merge totally. 20 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 21 Pearls and corals come forth from both of them. 22 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 23 And His are the Ships sailing smoothly through the seas, lofty as mountains: 24 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 25

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
