The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ When the great event comes to pass, 1 (and none denies its descending) 2 The event will be abasing some, and exalting some. 3 When the earth is shaken with convulsion 4 and the mountains crumbled 5 So that they become a scattered dust, 6 You will become three categories: 7 So those on the Right Hand (i.e. those who will be given their Records in their right hands), Who will be those on the Right Hand? (As a respect for them, because they will enter Paradise). 8 And those on the Left Hand (i.e. those who will be given their Record in their left hands), Who will be those on the Left Hand? (As a disgrace for them, because they will enter Hell). 9 Then the foremost, how pre-excellent, 10 They shall be the nearest to God. 11 in the beautiful Paradise. 12 A throng of the ancients, 13 but [only] a few of later times. 14 upon close-wrought couches 15 Reclining on them, facing each other. 16 Round about them will (serve) youths of perpetual (freshness), 17 With vessels, pitchers and a cup [of wine] from a flowing spring - 18 Their heads shall not ache with it, nor shall they lose their senses. 19 with fruits of their own choice 20 and with the flesh of any fowl that they may desire. 21 and wide-eyed houris 22 Like pearls safely hidden. 23 Reward for what they used to do. 24 They will not hear therein ill speech or commission of sin - 25 Only a saying: "Peace, peace." 26 The Companions of the Right 27 They shall be in the midst of thornless lote trees, 28 and flower-clad acacias, 29 And a shade ever-spread. 30 Gushing water, 31 and abundant fruit, 32 unfailing, unforbidden, 33 They shall be on upraised couches, 34 Surely We have made them to grow into a (new) growth, 35 And made them virgins, 36 loving and of equal age. 37 For those on the Right Hand. 38

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
