Didst thou (O Muhammad) observe him who turned away, 33 And gave a little, then stopped (giving)? 34 Has he knowledge of the Unknown that he perceives everything? 35 Or has he never yet been told of what was [said] in the revelations of Moses, 36 And of Ibrahim who faithfully fulfilled? 37 That no laden one shall bear another's load, 38 and that nought shall be accounted unto man but what he is striving for; 39 And that his deeds will be seen, 40 Then he will be fully repaid for it? 41 And that to your Lord is the finality 42 and that it is He who makes to laugh, and that makes to weep, 43 And that He it is Who giveth death and giveth life; 44 That He created pairs, male and female, 45 from a discharged living germ 46 and that [therefore] it is within His power to bring about a second life; 47 And that He it is Who enricheth and contenteth; 48 and that it is He who is the Lord of Sirius, 49 And that He destroyed the former 'A-ad. 50 Thamud, 51 and before them the people of Noah who were even more unjust and insolent; 52 And He destroyed the overthrown cities [of Sodom to which Prophet Lout (Lot) was sent]. 53 and caused them to be covered with that which He covered them with. 54 Then which of thy Lord's bounties disputest thou? 55 He who warns you is one of the warners of old. 56 The imminent Hour has drawn near, 57 and none but Allah can avert it. 58 Do you then find these tidings strange? 59 and do you laugh, and do you not weep, 60 And ye are behaving proudly. 61 So prostrate yourselves before God and worship him. ۩ 62
