Friday (Al-Jumu'ah)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ All that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth glorifieth Allah, the Sovereign Lord, the Holy One, the Mighty, the Wise. 1 He it is Who hath raised amdist the unlettered ones an apostle from among themselves, rehearsing unto them His revelations and purifying them and teaching them the Book and Wisdom, though they have been aforetime in error manifest. 2 and to others also, from among them, who have not yet joined them. He is the Mighty, the Wise One. 3 Such is the favor of God which He grants to whomever He wants. God's favor is great. 4 The likeness of those who were laden with the Taurat and then they bare it not, is as the likeness of the ass bearing tomes. Hapless is the likeness of the people who belie the signs of Allah. And Allah guideth not a wrong doing people. 5 (Muhammad), ask the Jews, "If you believe that you are the chosen people of God to the exclusion of all other people, wish for death if you are truthful". 6 But never will they long for it, because [they are aware] of what their hands have wrought in this world; and God has full knowledge of evildoers. 7 Say: "The Death from which ye flee will truly overtake you: then will ye be sent back to the Knower of things secret and open: and He will tell you (the truth of) the things that ye did!" 8
