Incontestable (Al-Haaqqah)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ The Sure Reality! 1 What is the Reality? 2 What makes you to know what the Resurrection Verifier is? 3 Thamud and 'Aad denied the Striking Calamity. 4 The Thamuds were destroyed by a violent blast of sound. 5 And as for 'Aad they were destroyed by a wind, furious, roaring. 6 He made it rage against them seven nights and eight days in succession: so that thou couldst see the (whole) people lying prostrate in its (path), as they had been roots of hollow palm-trees tumbled down! 7 Do you see any trace of them? 8 Then came the Pharaoh, and those before him whose habitations were overthrown while they were committing crimes. 9 And they disobeyed the Apostle of their Lord, so He punished them with a vehement punishment. 10 We, when the water (of Noah's Flood) overflowed beyond its limits, carried you (mankind), in the floating (Ark), 11 That We might make it a remembrance for you, and the keen ear (person) may (hear and) understand it. 12 When a single blast is blown on the trumpet, 13 And the earth and the mountains are lifted and leveled with one blow - 14 Then, on that day will the Event befall. 15 and heaven shall be split, for upon that day it shall be very frail, 16 On its fringes will be angels, eight of them, bearing their Lord's throne aloft. 17 On that day all your secrets will be exposed. 18 Then, as for him who is given his record in his right hand, he will say: Take, read my book! 19 Surely I knew that I should have to meet my reckoning. 20 Then he shall find himself in a life of bliss; 21 In a lofty garden, 22 Whereof the clusters are in easy reach. 23 “Eat and drink with pleasure – the reward of what you sent ahead, in the past days.” 24 And he that will be given his Record in his left hand, will say: "Ah! Would that my Record had not been given to me! 25 Nor known whatever was my reckoning! 26 Would that death had taken us away for good. 27 My wealth has not helped me a thing 28 "My power and arguments (to defend myself) have gone from me!" 29 (It will be said): "Seize him and fetter him, 30 and then let him enter Hell. 31 Then thrust him into a chain the length of which is seventy cubits. 32 for, behold, he did not believe in God, the Tremendous, 33 And urged not on the feeding of Al-Miskin (the poor), 34 Today he shall have no loyal friend here, 35 Nor any food except from the discharge of wounds; 36 Which none but the wrongdoers eat. 37
