Nay, and by the moon, 32 By the receding night 33 And the daybreak when it shines; 34 Indeed hell is one of the greatest entities. 35 a warning to humankind, 36 A warning unto him of you who shall go forward or who chooseth to lag behind. 37 Every soul is mortgaged for its own deeds. 38 except the people of the right hand 39 In Gardens they will question 40 concerning the sinners, 41 [And asking them], "What put you into Saqar?" 42 They will reply: 'We were not among those who prayed 43 and we did not feed the poor, 44 "And we used to talk falsehood (all that which Allah hated) with vain talkers. 45 And we have been belying the Day of Requital. 46 Until there came to us the certainty." 47 Then the intercession of the intercessors shall not profit them. 48 Then what is the matter with them that they turn away from admonition?- 49 As if they were alarmed donkeys 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 Yea, everyone of them claims that he [himself] ought to have been given revelations unfolded! 52 By no means! Aye, they fear not the Hereafter. 53 Never so, as this is a reminder. 54 So, whoever wills, will remember it. 55 But they will not remember except as God wills: He is worthy to be feared, and He is worthy of forgiving 56
