The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Woe to every fault-finding back-biter, 1 Who pileth up wealth and layeth it by, 2 thinking that his wealth will make him live forever! 3 No indeed; he shall be thrust into the Crusher; 4 And what do you know what the Crusher is? 5 It is the Fire kindled by Allah, 6 to penetrate into the hearts. 7 (And) vaults them over 8 In columns outstretched. 9

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
