And recite unto them the story of Ibrahim. 69 When he said unto his father and his people: what worship ye? 70 They said: we worship idols, and we are unto them ever devoted 71 He said: Do they hear you when you call? 72 Or do they benefit or harm you? 73 They said: Nay, but we found our fathers acting on this wise. 74 He said: "Have you considered what you have been worshipping, 75 You and your ancient forefathers? 76 “They are all my enemies, except the Lord Of The Creation.” 77 He created me and He will guide me. 78 And Who feedeth me and watereth me. 79 who, when I am sick, heals me; 80 Who will cause me to die and then will again restore me to life; 81 "And Who, I hope will forgive me my faults on the Day of Recompense, (the Day of Resurrection)," 82 Lord, grant me authority. Join me to the righteous ones. 83 And give unto me a good report in later generations. 84 and make me of those who will inherit the Garden of Bliss, 85 Forgive my father. He has gone astray. 86 And do not disgrace me on the day when they are raised from the graves, 87 The day when wealth and sons avail not (any man) 88 Save him who bringeth unto Allah a whole heart. 89 And Paradise will be brought near [that Day] to the righteous. 90 and Hell advanced for the perverse. 91 and they will be asked: "Where now is all that you were wont to worship 92 Beside Allah? Can they succour you or succour themselves? 93 "Then they will be thrown headlong into the (Fire),- they and those straying in Evil, 94 and the hosts of iblis all together. 95 They shall say, as they dispute there one with another, 96 "By God, we were plainly in error 97 When we made you equal with the Lord of the Worlds. 98 It was naught but the sinners that led us astray; 99 We have no one to intercede for us before God 100 "'Nor a single friend to feel (for us). 101 O that we might return again, and be among the believers!' 102 Verily herein is a sign, but most of them are not believers. 103 And indeed your Lord – only He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 104
