The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those (angels) who pull out (the souls of the disbelievers and the wicked) with great violence; 1 By those who gently draw out (the souls of the blessed); 2 by the swimmers (angels) swimming gently 3 Then those who are foremost going ahead, 4 and by those who regulate events. 5 Upon the day when the first blast shivers 6 What must happen afterwards shall follow it. 7 Many a heart will flutter on that day! 8 while eyes will be downcast. 9 They say (now): "What! shall we indeed be returned to (our) former state? 10 after we have become bones and dust?" 11 They say: “That will then be a return with a great loss!” 12 But all it will take is a single blast, 13 And lo! they will be awakened. 14 Hath there come unto thee the story of Musa! 15 When his Lord called to him in the sacred valley of Tuwa, 16 'Go to Pharaoh; he has waxed insolent. 17 And say to him, "Would you like to reform yourself? 18 Then I shall guide thee unto thy Lord so that thou shalt fear. 19 So Moosa showed him a magnificent sign. 20 but he cried lies, and rebelled, 21 Further, he turned his back, striving hard (against Allah). 22 then, he gathered, proclaimed, 23 and said, "I am your Lord All-Highest!" 24 but God seized him and meted out to him the chastisement of both the next world and the present: 25 Lo! herein is indeed a lesson for him who feareth. 26
