He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ He frowned and turned away 1 when the blind man approached him, 2 for how can you know that he might seek to purify himself, 3 Or be admonished, so that the admonition might have profited him? 4 As for him who regardeth himself self-sufficient 5 To him do you address yourself. 6 Though it is no blame to thee if he grow not (in spiritual understanding). 7 And as to him who comes to you striving hard, 8 And is also fearful (of God), 9 Of him wast thou unmindful. 10 These verses are a reminder 11 For any one who desires to bear it in mind, 12 (It is) in Books held (greatly) in honour, 13 exalted, purified, 14 by the hands of scribes 15 Who are noble, virtuous. 16 Perish man! how ungrateful he is! 17 From what did He create him? 18 From Nutfah (male and female semen drops) He created him, and then set him in due proportion; 19 Then the way He made easy. 20 then causes him to die and buries him, 21 Then when He pleases, He will raise him to life again. 22 By no means hath he fulfilled what Allah hath commanded him. 23 Then let mankind look at his food - 24 That We pour down the water, pouring (it) down in abundance, 25 Then split the earth in clefts 26 then caused the grain to grow out of it, 27 and vines and edible plants, 28 and olives, and palms, 29 and gardens dense with foliage, 30 and fruits and pastures 31 A provision for you and your cattle. 32 But when the deafening cry comes, 33 On the Day a man will flee from his brother 34 And from his mother and his father, 35 wife and sons, 36 every man that day shall have business to suffice him. 37 Some faces on that day shall shine 38 Laughing, rejoicing at good news. 39 but some faces will be covered with dust 40 enveloped by darkness. 41 Those are the disbelievers, the wicked ones. 42
God the Almighty always says the truth.

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of three Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-third chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.
