The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
When the sun is overthrown, 1 And when the stars fall down. 2 And when the mountains shall made to pass away; 3 And when full-term she-camels are neglected 4 when the savage beasts shall be mustered, 5 when the seas shall be set boiling, 6 when the souls shall be coupled, 7 When the female (infant), buried alive, is questioned - 8 Upon what sin was she killed for. 9 And when the pages are made public 10 when the sky is unveiled, 11 When the Blazing Fire is kindled to fierce heat; 12 when Paradise is brought close: 13 (Then) every soul will know what it had prepared (for itself). 14 Rather, I swear by the returning 15 the planets that run their course and set, 16 by the night when it approaches 17 and the morn as it softly breathes: 18 truly this is the word of a noble Messenger 19 The processor of strength, having an honorable place with the Lord of the Dominion, 20 Obeyed one; then trustworthy. 21 Your Companion is not mad, 22 And indeed he saw him on the clear horizon. (Prophet Mohammed saw Angel Jibreel in his true shape – peace and blessings be upon them). 23 Neither doth he withhold grudgingly a knowledge of the Unseen. 24 This is not the utterance of an accursed devil. 25 So whither do you stray? 26 It is naught but a reminder for the nations, 27 for whosoever of you would go straight, 28 However, you will not be able to choose anything unless God, Lord of the Universe wills it to be so. 29
