Al-Infitaar
Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ When the heaven is cleft asunder, 1 And when the stars shall be scattered, 2 the oceans are merged together, 3 and the graves are turned inside out, 4 A soul will [then] know what it has put forth and kept back. 5 O human! What has deceived you concerning your Generous Lord 6 Who created you, then made you complete, then made you symmetrical? 7 In whatever shape He will He could surely have fashioned you. 8 Even then you deny the Judgement. 9 And indeed there are some guardians over you. 10 noble scribes, 11 Knowing all what you may do. 12 Verily, the Abrar (pious and righteous) will be in delight (Paradise); 13 And indeed, the wicked will be in Hellfire. 14 which they shall enter on the Day of Judgement, 15 And will not be removed from it. 16 What do you know what the Day of Recompense is? 17 Again, what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is? 18 It is the Day when a soul will not possess for another soul [power to do] a thing; and the command, that Day, is [entirely] with Allah. 19
