He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ (The Prophet (Peace be upon him)) frowned and turned away, 1 Because the blind man came unto him. 2 for how can you know that he might seek to purify himself, 3 or receive some (Quranic) advice which would benefit him. 4 As for him who considers himself free from need (of you), 5 to a rich man, 6 Though it is not your concern if he should not grow in fulness. 7 And as for him who cometh unto thee running, 8 and in awe of God 9 You neglect. 10 No! Indeed, these verses are a reminder; 11 So whoever wishes may remember it. 12 (This Quran) is also recorded in honorable books, 13 Exalted and purified, 14 by the hands of scribes 15 noble, pious. 16 Accursed is man. How ungrateful is he! 17 From what thing did He create him? 18 From a drop of seed. He createth him and proportioneth him, 19 He makes his path easy for him. 20 Then He causes him to die, then assigns to him a grave, 21 and then, if it be His will, He shall raise him again to life, 22 Nay, but (man) has not done what He commanded him. 23 So let man just consider his food: 24 [how it is] that We pour down water, pouring it down abundantly; 25 Then split the earth in clefts 26 And We made corn grow, 27 and grape vines and vegetables, 28 And olives and date-palms, 29 and burgeoning enclosed gardens 30 fruits, and grass. 31 A provision for you and for your cattle. 32 But, when the Blast comes, 33 On the day when a man fleeth from his brother 34 And his mother and his father, 35 And his wife and his children, 36 On that day, each one has just one issue, which is enough for him. 37 On that day faces will be bright as dawn, 38 Laughing, rejoicing. 39 And some faces will on that Day with dust be covered, 40 with darkness overspread: 41 These will be the faces of the sinful disbelievers. 42
Almighty Allah's Truth.

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.

The beginning and end of every Surah mention the Surahs sent down before and after. You can click or tap on either one to go there. Using this feature in ColorfulQuran.com, you can easily read the Surahs according to the order of their revelation from The Embryo (Al-Alaq) to The Victory (An-Nasr), which is different from their positional order in the Holy Book from The Key (Al-Fatihah) to The People (An-Nas).
