Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ When heaven is split open, 1 when the stars are scattered, 2 When the seas are poured forth, 3 And when the Graves are turned upside down;- 4 every soul will see the result of its deeds - those recorded before his death and those which will produce either virtue or evil after his death. 5 O human! What has deceived you concerning your Generous Lord 6 Who created you, shaped you, and made you well-proportioned, 7 having put thee together in whatever form He willed [thee to have]? 8 Even then you deny the Judgement. 9 But verily over you (are appointed angels) to protect you,- 10 Kiraman (honourable) Katibin writing down (your deeds). 11 who know whatever you do. 12 The pious will surely be in heaven, 13 and the libertines shall be in a fiery furnace 14 [a fire] which they shall enter on Judgment Day, 15 And will not be able to hide from it. 16 And what do you know – of what sort is the Day of Justice! 17 Again, what could let you know what the Day of Recompense is! 18 It is the Day when no soul can do a thing for another soul. That Day, the command belongs to Allah. 19
