The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
I CALL TO witness the heavens and the night Star -- 1 How will you comprehend what the night star is? 2 The very brightly shining star! 3 There is not a soul that does not have a guardian over it. 4 Let the human being reflect that from what he has been created. 5 Created from a gushing fluid. 6 Coming from between the back and the ribs. 7 Surely He is able to bring him back 8 The Day when all the secrets (deeds, prayers, fasting, etc.) will be examined (as to their truth). 9 Then man will have no power or any helper. 10 Consider the heavens, ever-revolving, 11 And [by] the earth which cracks open, 12 this (Qur'an) is surely a decisive Word, 13 And it is not amusement. 14 Verily they are plotting a plot. 15 And I am planning a scheme. 16 so bear with those who deny the truth, and let them be for a little while. 17
Almighty Allah's Truth.
