Al-Taareq
The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the heaven, and the night-visitor, 1 And what will explain to thee what the Night-Visitant is?- 2 The star of piercing brightness; 3 There is not a soul but over it is a keeper. 4 Let man reflect on what he was created from. 5 He is created from a drop emitted- 6 issuing between the loins and the breast-bones. 7 Lo! He verily is Able to return him (unto life) 8 A day when the secrets will be examined. 9 Then will (man) have no power, nor any helper. 10 By oath of the sky from which comes down the rain. 11 And the earth which splits (with the growth of trees and plants), 12 Verily! This (the Quran) is the Word that separates (the truth from falsehood, and commands strict legal laws for mankind to cut the roots of evil). 13 And it is not amusement. 14 Verily, they are but plotting a plot (against you O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)). 15 And I am planning a scheme. 16 So respite the unbelievers; delay with them awhile. 17
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
