And assuredly We gave grace unto Musa and Harun. 114 and We delivered both of them and their people from the great calamity. 115 And We helped them, so they overcame (their troubles); 116 We gave them the explicit Book, 117 and guided them upon the Straight Path. 118 And We left (this blessing) for them among generations (to come) in later times: 119 Peace be on Moses and Aaron. 120 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 121 Indeed they are two of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 122 AND, BEHOLD, Elijah [too] was indeed one of Our message-bearers 123 (Call to mind) when he said to his people: “Will you not fear Allah? 124 What! do you call upon Ba'l and forsake the best of the creators, 125 Allah is your Lord and the Lord of your ancestors of yore.” 126 And they denied him, so indeed, they will be brought [for punishment], 127 excepting only [those who were] God's true servants; 128 We preserved a good name for him among posterity. 129 Peace be upon Ilyas! 130 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 131 He is truly among Our faithful devotees. 132 And lo! Lot verily was of those sent (to warn). 133 Behold, We delivered him and his adherents, all 134 except for an old woman who was among those that stayed behind. 135 We then destroyed the others. 136 And lo! ye verily pass by (the ruin of) them in the morning 137 And at night-time; have ye then no sense? 138
