3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
And indeed Nuh (Noah) invoked Us, and We are the Best of those who answer (the request). 75 And We saved him and his household from the great distress, 76 and made his offspring the only ones to survive, 77 We left mention of him among later generations. 78 Peace on Noah among all men. 79 Verily, thus We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 80 he was among Our believing servants. 81 Afterwards We drowned the others. 82 ۞ And verily of his sect was Ibrahim. 83 When he came to his Lord with a pure heart, 84 When he said to his father and his people: "What is this you worship? 85 It is falsehood that you desire gods other than Allah! 86 What is then your idea about the Lord of the worlds? 87 He cast a glance at the stars 88 And said, "Indeed, I am [about to be] ill." 89 But they turned their backs and went away from him. 90 Then he slipped unto their gods and said: eat ye not? 91 “What is the matter with you, that you do not say anything?” 92 And he turned upon them smiting them with his right hand. 93 His people came rushing towards him, 94 He said, "Do you worship that which you [yourselves] carve, 95 "But Allah has created you and your handwork!" 96 They said, "Build him a furnace, and throw him into the blazing fire!" 97 And they intended for him a plan, but We made them the most debased. 98 And he said: "I am going away to my Lord who will show me the way. 99 Lord, grant me a righteous son." 100 We gave him the good news that he would have a patient, forbearing son. 101 And when he attained the age of running with him, he said: O my son! verily I have seen in a dream that I am slaughtering thee; so look, what considerest thou? He said: O my father! do that which thou art commanded; thou shalt find me, Allah willing, of the patients. 102 So when they both submitted and he threw him down upon his forehead, 103 We called to him, "O Abraham, 104 You have fulfilled the vision." Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 105 Verily, that indeed was a manifest trial 106 And We ransomed him with a Feat sacrifice. 107 And We left for him [favorable mention] among later generations: 108 Peace be on Abraham. 109 Thus do We reward the good. 110 For he was one of our believing Servants. 111 We gave him the glad news of the birth of Isaac, one of the righteous Prophets. 112 We blessed him and Ishaque (Isaac), and of their progeny are (some) that do right, and some that plainly wrong themselves. 113

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
