And indeed We saved the Children of Israel from the humiliating torment, 30 From Fir'awn; verily he was haughty and of the extravagant. 31 And We certainly chose them by knowledge over [all] the worlds. 32 And sent them tokens to bring out the best in them. 33 Lo! these, forsooth, are saying: 34 There is naught but our first death and we shall not be raised again. 35 Bring us our fathers, if you speak truly!' 36 Are these better or the people of Tubba and those who went before them? We destroyed them for they were a criminal people. 37 We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them, out of play. 38 We did not create them except in Truth. But most of them do not know. 39 Verily, the Day of Judgement (when Allah will judge between the creatures) is the time appointed for all of them, 40 On that Day no cousin shall help his cousin and they shall not be helped 41 Except those upon whom Allah has mercy; indeed He only is the Most Honourable, the Most Merciful. 42
