In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
READ in the name of thy Sustainer, who has created 1 Created man from a clot. 2 Read! Your Lord is the Most Bountiful One 3 who taught by the Pen, 4 Hath taught man that which he knew not. 5 And yet, but yet man is rebellious, 6 As he bethinkest himself selfsufficient. 7 Verily, to thy Lord is the return (of all). 8 Have you seen the one who prohibits 9 a servant (of Allah) when he prays? 10 Tell me, if he (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) is on the guidance (of Allah)? 11 Or enjoined guarding (against evil)? 12 What is your opinion – if he denies and turns away, how wretched will be his state! 13 Knows he not that Allah does see (what he does)? 14 No indeed; surely, if he gives not over, We shall seize him by the forelock, 15 the lying, rebellious forehead! 16 So let him call on his concourse! 17 We shall summon the guards of Hell. 18 No, not at all. Never obey him. But prostrate yourself and become nigh (to your Lord). ۩ 19
